Originalmente se habia trabajado en esta cancion en su primera sesion en los estudios Abbey Road el 6 de junio de 1963 en un numero de tomas que se desconocen pues no ay ni siquiera hay registros de este dia .
En aquella session cabe destacar que tuvieron a Ron richards y George Martin como productores y grabaron en el estudio 3 con un equipo de tecnicos completamente diferente al que habrian de recurrir mas adelante .
Posteriormente a esta sesion siguio otra realizada el 4 de septiembre , en la cual se trabajo en la version hecha el 6 de junio y la cual se utilizaria para el disco sencillo mas sin embargo tambien se trabajo en otra version rehecha en la cual se hicieron 13 tomas ese mismo dia mas sin embargo , el sonido no quedo muy al gusto de George martin y en ausencia de este el 11 de septiembre el productor  Ron Richards siguio trabajando en la version rehecha el 4 de septiembre y en la cual se trabajo en 5 tomas adicionales pero esta vez con Andy white como baterista y Ringo tocando simplemente el pandero . Fue la toma numero 18 la que finalmente fue usada para ser incluida en el disco de Please Please Me .

Esta es otra de las joyas grabada en la sesion del 11 de septiembre de 1963 . No hay muchos datos aparte del hecho que Mc cartney dijo que era perfecta para ser 
el lado " B " de love me do y que  Ringo toco las maracas y Andy white toco la bateria .

No hay mucho que decir de esta cancion mas que era una cancion del grupo " Shirelles " y que solo se necesitaron 3 tomas para que quedaran satisfechos los beatles ,
mas sin embargo el 20 de febrero George Martin le añadiria el famoso 
solo de  " celesta " ( Una especie de piano que en vez de percutir las teclas en cuerdas tensas lo hace sobre laminas de metal lo cual le da ese sonido dulce y celestial )

Esta fue grabada en la sesion vespertina de aquel 11 de febrero y solo necesitaron

Ocho tomas , considerando la numero 8 como la mejor .

Posteriormente se le añadieron mas armonias de la toma 6 mas un  par de baquetas quedando lo que escuchamos en el disco.  

Posterirormente esta cancion  fue dada a otro de los grupos que Brian Epstein representaba   " BIlly J. Krammer And The Dakotas "

La sesion de la tarde de ese dia comenzo con Paul interpretando " A Taste Of Honey " cancion compuesta en 1960 y esta obligaba a que llevase doble pista vocal 
( Proceso en el cual se superponia una grabacion a otra con diferente velocidad para producir un sonido mas completo ) lo cual se hizo superponiendo la toma 7 con la toma 5  cabe destacar que esta fue la unica cancion de este disco en la que se uso dicho proceso .

Esta fue la segunda de de las canciones que se trabajaron por la mañana ese dia . Fueron 10 tomas las que grabaron de las 10 de la mañana a la 1 de la tarde , cuando los ingenieros decidieron que era hora de tomar el almuerzo , mas los beatles se quedaron otro rato a ensayar .

Ya por la tarde se grabaron 3 tomas mas ( De la 11 a la 13 )  para las adiciones de armonias .

Eran poco mas de las 10 de la noche de ese Viernes 11 de Febrero y ya 

con el estudio cerrado , todos se habian reducido a la cantina de abbey road por algo de cafe y galletas a discutir lo que podria ser la cancion final del disco . Y al cabo de un rato , alguien propuso que fuera " Twist And Shout " , un antiguo numero del grupo Isley Brothers con john como vocalista .

Para entonces , despues de 12 horas de trabajo todos estaban cansados y se habian planteado el hacer la cancion en tan solo una toma asi que mientras los beatles regresaron al estudio los ingenieros regresaron al segundo piso a la cabina de grabacion mientras john chupaba un dulce y hacia gargaras con leche . 

Lo que se escucha en el disco es lo que john canto en la primera toma , dos minutos y medio de trituracion vocal que es considerado por muchos la mejor interpretacion vocal de todos los tiempos que termina en un suspiro de alivio .

Se intento grabar una segunda toma , la cual tiene uan salida en falso ,  mas sin embargo la voz de john se habia desvanecido .

 Asi finalmente a las 10 : 30 de la noche de ese largo dia por fin los beatles habian terminado de grabar su primer disco .
